Adam Cancino

With heavy hearts, we share the tragic passing of Adam Cancino, 35 of Dalhart, on April 7, 2025, as he was heading to begin a new chapter in his life in Kansas. Adam’s family invites you to join them for a heartfelt Celebration of Life Service on Friday at 3 o’ clock in the afternoon at the Dalhart Funeral Memorial Chapel, where Elder Robert Rooney will lead the service. Adam will lie in repose from 10 o’ clock in the morning until the service begins, and again after the service until 8 o’ clock in the evening, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. His family is grateful for the care and support of Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services as they honor Adam’s memory.

Adam was a man of many passions and a heart full of empathy. Whether he was out on the golf course, sketching his thoughts onto paper, skateboarding through the streets, or skiing down snowy slopes, Adam embraced life with energy and joy. His love for music spanned all genres, and he often found connection and meaning through its rhythms and lyrics.

What truly set Adam apart was his genuine curiosity about others and his compassionate spirit. He was a natural listener; someone who offered encouragement, understanding, and comfort to anyone who needed it. Adam’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and a deep-seated desire to support those around him.

Adam is survived by his devoted mother, Herculana Ruiz, and his cherished children: Ashlynne, Zaevin, and Kaiden Cancino. He also leaves behind his brother, Manuel Cancino Jr., and his wife Lorena, as well as his sister, Cassandra Cancino, and her husband Nick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Cancino Sr., his grandparents, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

Adam touched many lives with his warmth and compassion. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
