Ben Marruffo, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 2, 2024, at the age of 70 in Amarillo, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Deacon Michael officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Ben was born on April 29, 1954, in Friona, Texas. Raised in a close-knit family, he attended high school and later built a fulfilling career in the railroad industry. His dedication and hard work were a testament to his strong character, and he embraced challenges with a positive attitude. Ben found joy in the beauty of everyday life, cherishing simple moments with family and friends. He had a love for western action movies, scraping, guns, and his old Corvette. Above all, he was a devoted father, and the time spent with his son, Jacob, was incredibly precious to him. Ben had a unique way of loving those around him-he was a man who loved deeply but often from afar.
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Debra Marruffo; his adoring son, Jacob Marruffo of Amarillo; and his cherished daughter, Amber Wilson of Moline, KS. He will also be dearly missed by his beloved sisters, Natalie Lucero, Alvesa Aragon, and Josie Lysford. Ben leaves behind a legacy of love and will forever remain in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, and two precious grandchildren.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents.
