Brenda Sue Galloway, 74, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at Coon Memorial Nursing Home in Dalhart, Texas. She was born to Elsie and Clifford Griggs Sr. in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Brenda spent 41 wonderful years married to Don Galloway, whom she married on November 12, 1984, in Stratford, Texas. Together, they built a life full of love and memories. Brenda worked as a nurse at the hospital in Clayton, New Mexico for many years, a career that reflected her caring and compassionate nature.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. Brenda had a special love for dancing and always found joy in being around her loved ones.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Don Galloway, of Texline, Texas; her sons, Marty Galloway and wife Kelly of Dalhart, Texas, Randy Galloway and fiancée Mary Jo Beth of Stinnett, Texas; her daughters, Sabra Peregrino and husband Cesar of Sherman, Texas, and Carolyn Vargas and husband Joe of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Patsy Griggs of Dalhart, Texas; her brothers, Scott Genn and Dean of Pueblo, Colorado, and Roy Griggs and wife Terrie of Dalhart, Texas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Brenda's legacy will live on in her grandchildren Tanya, John, Daryl, Kaleigh, Mikaela, Kennedi, Skylar, Kate, RJ, and Payton, as well as her great-grandchildren Joaquin, Hailey, Cole, Avery, Nora, Christopher, Marcos, Jacob, Cecilia, Josephine, Brooklyn, and Ethan, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Mae Genn, her biological father, Clifford Griggs Sr., her stepfather, Calvin Genn, her brothers Clifford "Ike" Griggs, Calvin "Hune" Genn Jr., and Kenneth Griggs.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Details will be shared once they are determined. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Brenda's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial be to Texline Volunteer Fire Department.
