Keith Heiskell

November 20, 1956 — December 21, 2024

Dalhart

Keith Brian Heiskell entered his heavenly home on Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by family following a twelve-year battle with ALS. Keith's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of strength and resilience. His unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Keith was born in Amarillo on November 20, 1956, to Glen Heiskell and Billie Heiskell Harruff. He grew up on the Heiskell family farm and ranch near Conlen and attended Dalhart schools before continuing his education at TSTI in Amarillo, specializing in welding. He spent his entire career farming and operating his sandblasting business.

Keith will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He loved motorcycles, fast cars, hunting for arrowheads, flying drones, and vacationing at the lake. He was a talented metalworker, creating beautiful knives and letter openers with deer antler handles. Keith cherished every memory he made with his family, especially his daily routine of going out to lunch with his dad for a cheeseburger and spending some father/son time.

Survivors include his children: Jeff Heiskell and his wife Jamie of Dalhart, Aleisha Thrash of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Shanna Heiskell of Muskogee, Oklahoma; grandchildren Brycen Heiskell, Korie Heiskell, Wesley Heiskell, William Heiskell, Jacob Talvitie, Sydney Adair, and one great grand-daughter arriving in March 2025; father Glen Heiskell and mother Billie Harruff, both of Dalhart; sisters Sue Ballinger and her husband Barry of Lubbock and Staunton Whiteaker of Amarillo.

Visitation is December 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. 16th Street, in Dalhart. Immediately follow a Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 26.2024 at First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Keith fought the good fight; he finished the race and kept the faith.
