Paula Kay Richardson Moore, 79, of Amarillo, formerly of Houston, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with Father Phil Ray officiating.
Kay Moore was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt who lived a full life. She was born to V. C. Richardson and Ada (Hays) Richardson on February 11, 1945, in Littlefield, TX and moved to Dalhart with her family in 1950. After graduating from Dalhart High School in 1963, Kay pursued her career in banking in Dallas, eventually becoming a Senior Vice-President in Houston. Despite her love for the big city life, Kay eventually retired and moved to Amarillo in 2021, wanting to be closer to her family. In addition to her successful career in banking, Kay was also known for her love of music and animals. She was a talented harmonica player and had a knack for brightening up any room with her lively personality. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her for her infectious energy and unwavering love for life.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, V. C. Richardson, and her mother, Ada Richardson, and her older sister, Joy Johnson.
Kay is survived by two sisters, Donna Hall and Barbara Schaff, and one brother, Jim Richardson.
