In Loving Memory of Rebecca Ann Quint

June 12, 1954 to December 24, 2024

Rebecca was a beautiful, forgiving, and gentle soul. She was a woman of grace, strength, and unyielding love who touched the lives of many.

Born on June 12, 1954 in Galesburg, Illinois, she attended Abingdon High School and graduated with a Psychology degree from Illinois State University. She then went on to receive a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education and Diagnostics from Lamar University in 2023. In college, she met her husband, Walter Quint. They married in 1976 and moved to Dalhart, Texas in 1982 to pursue farming.

Before having children, Becky worked for Child Protective Services. She was a homemaker while she raised her 4 children and then started a career in education. She was an educator for Dalhart Independent School District for over 18 years. Becky's joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going on adventures with her girls, cheering for any sports team her sons played on or coached, and being Mimi to James & Ivy.

She is survived by her husband Walter Quint, children Jessilin (Ian), Jordan, Johnathan (DeAnn), and Jennifer; her grandchildren James and Ivy; her sister Cynthia Hubbard (John) and brothers James (Carolyn) Dunn and Paul Dunn.

She is preceded in death by her parents James William Dunn and Ramona Marilyn Ironside Dunn, and half-brother William Dunn.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1pm at the Dalhart Church of Christ. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories of a woman whose love and light will never fade. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wil receive friends from 5-6:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harrington Cancer Center or the Twilight Cancer Fund in Dalhart.
